Unlike a lot of the solar stuff I get on Amazon, these lights are very high quality. There are no switches and no ways for water to get inside the housing. I think these could be put underwater for an extended period of time and still function properly (although it is not recommended!). Even after overcast Spring days where I put these on the Southward facing deck of our yard, these light up brightly and last for a pretty long time. I am trying to figure out a good spot for them so that they won't be a tripping hazard but overall they are pretty low-profile and could really be placed anywhere to give a nice nighttime ambience.
