Click to play video They work wonderfully! They’re large, just as I wanted! I turn them on using the remote control; I’ve used them in a single color, and last night I set them to "colorful" mode. They also have an option that makes the flame appear to flicker—as if moved by the wind—to make them look more realistic, and I can set a timer so they turn off automatically. I It rained a lot the first night, and when I went to check on them, they were covered in water; I just poured the water off and turned them back on. Make sure it says they’re for outdoor use, because there are others that are only for indoor use. would definitely buy them again!

I want to commend this manufacturer for its excellent engineering. I ordered the witches, castle, and bats candle set and it works so well from the remote provided. You install the two AA batteries into each candle. Twist on the base easily. Ready to go. Using the remote, turn them on as a group, set the brightness, set the timer. The latter works perfectly. The only odd thing is that after auto shut off when I turn them on again, I need to press the OFF button first and then the On button. Then they light, no problem. The orange glow is beautiful, the wick flickers naturally, and the glow extends down into the candle.. I am up often in the middle of the night and they keep me company without too much brightness. They are the standard 6" x 3" pillar, and I like how the tops look like melted wax. The batteries have lasted all week so far. I ordered a set for my porch and also for one of my adult kids. I looked at other brands (cheaper) but their art images were not as detailed and clever as these. I particularly love the spooky crooked castle. I will order some winter holiday candles from this brand too

Love these, they have a timer that is so nice, come on every night and go off at bedtime. Look awesome with my Halloween decorations on my mantle. Very bright and cost is a value for 3 of them. They have a covered top so will not get wet inside

One of the candles malfunctioned in the first set I ordered (when I went to switch it on, the switch came loose and fell inside the candle body) but I like how these look so I returned them and got another set. I like how much of the candle is illuminated when turned on and the remote is helpful. I just hope they hold up over the years

Took a gamble and ordered these (knowing Amazon is great about returns), but I won't be returning them. They look good when lit and for the price, they are fully acceptable. Worked right out of the box, and I don't know how they do it, but they do work just as advertised with the IR remote control. Just put in 2 AA batteries for each candle (NOT INCLUDED) and point the remote at the candle, and you can change the color (lots of choices), the flickering level, the time until it turns off (4 or 8 hours), and there is even a random color change setting that slowly scrolls through the entire color palate. A trick to setting them differently from each other is just hide the one you want from the others, point the remote at it, and it will respond to the remote by itself. That way you can have different colors on each candle and different effects too. But if the remote is pointed at all 3 at once, they will all assume the same color, mode, etc. They have a good brightness even in daytime, but at night they look even better. So many colors to choose from and the remote makes it effortless. I will probably order more of these for Halloween this year
