Yes, this does take a while to put together… Not difficult, just a whole lot of screws but when you are finished, you feel like you are sitting on a substantial piece of furniture. I ordered this for my new screened in porch, and I am more than thrilled with the quality, especially the cushions. They are a pain in the butt to put into their covering but once in they fit very tight and I think this is important for the longevity of the foam piece. It helps to fold the piece in half and then make sure you have it fitted in the corner, and the seam is right along the side. If it is off kilter, you might as well start again! After a recent very strong thunderstorm, the water beaded it up nicely
